Dr. Gary Mabry
Gary is in his 27th year as a choral director and voice teacher at UTSA. Prior to that he taught on the music faculties of Montana State University and Abilene Christian University. He served as Artistic Director and Conductor of the San Antonio Choral Society from 1993 to 2006. For several years, he was the Chorus Master of the San Antonio Opera. Gary has also served on the Executive Board of the Texas Choral Directors Association from 2012 to 2014 as Church Division Vice President. For seven summers he taught choral and vocal music at the Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan and has been involved in church music leadership for 48 years in congregations of the Church of Christ, the United Methodist Church, the Lutheran Church, the Christian Church, and the Presbyterian Church in Texas, Colorado, and Montana. For the past 10 years, he has served as Music Director for Travis Park United Methodist Church in San Antonio.
Gary received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Abilene Christian University, a Master of Music degree in Conducting from Hardin-Simmons University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Voice Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Douglas graduated from Warner Pacific University (Portland, OR) in 1982 with B.A. in Music Ed. and went on receive an M.S.T. in Music Ed. from Portland State University (Portland, OR) in 1989, and an M.A. in Counseling (pastoral care) from Western Seminary (Portland, OR) in 2005. He has been involved in music education throughout his life, having taught Kindergarten through high school. Most recently Douglas was choral director at Brennen High School (2011-2015) and is currently music specialist at Carlos Coon Elementary School (NISD). He has taught private piano, and is very active as an accompanist throughout the San Antonio area.
Douglas has been involved in ministry since 1980. He has served as music and worship leader in churches in Oregon, California, and Texas. He was also the senior pastor, as well as worship leader and choral director, of the Richmond Community Church (Church of God, Anderson, IN, affl.) in Portland, Oregon from 1996-2006.
Douglas and his wife Teri were married in 1984, and are the proud parents of five adult children and two beautiful grandchildren. Since joining the staff on September 1st, 2019, Douglas and Teri have so enjoyed the loving and welcoming family at Holy Spirit! In his spare time, Douglas greatly enjoys spending time with Teri and the grandchildren as well as reading, preferably out on the back deck! He always keeps two books going at a time, a work of fiction and a work of non-fiction.

Lesli Budzinski has served as Director of the Mother's Day Out Preschool Ministry at Crossroads Baptist Church since 2015, after working as a preschool teacher in the program since 2011. Lesli is passionate about working with children and committed to providing a positive, loving, and fun Christian learning environment.
Lesli received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Radio & Television with an emphasis in Public Relations from Sam Houston State University. She has also received training and certification through the Texas Teachers Certification program. After graduating from college, Lesli worked in promotions for a local television station and then spent 17 years in the insurance industry with USAA.
Lesli and her husband Darren married in 2000 and have been blessed with four children: Abby, Ella, Lyla, and Bear. They are a busy family that enjoy outdoor activities and sports. Their children are involved in many activities from soccer and swimming to theatre arts and raising chickens. Her family attends the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit and enjoys serving their community. Lesli is excited and eager for the opportunity and responsibility to care for God's children at The Kids of the Kingdom.

Jen is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the incredible work that members of San Antonio are doing to love and care for their neighbors, and is grateful to be a part of the work that God is doing in and at Holy Spirit. Jen and her husband, Brooks, and have enjoyed being part of the Holy Spirit congregation since the summer of 2019, and they have called San Antonio home since September 2017.
Jen enjoys leading Sacred Ground, a dialogue circle on race and faith, at Holy Spirit. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, hiking, cooking, and sailing.

Jen is a returning member to the Holy Spirit staff after having served as the Youth Pastor for three years. After retiring from youth ministry, Jen married her loving husband Josh and they are expecting their first baby in the fall. After stepping away from ministry work to focus solely on her swim coaching career, she has felt the call to come back to work at her favorite place.
Jen is so excited to be taking on a new role at Holy Spirit and getting the opportunity to reconnect with everyone!
Eddy graduated from UTSA in 2018 with a BS in Kinesiology.
While at UTSA, he was a Manager for the Men’s Basketball Team.
Eddy has worked at Duncan Park Adventure Camp, Camp Capers and Mustang Island Family Camp in different summers throughout his college education.
Eddy has been coaching Cross Country and Track at TMI Episcopal since 2019.
Spirit Time Worship Leader
Miss Jackie volunteers as the Spirit Time Children's Worship Leader every Sunday during 10 am Morning Worship. Children ages 4 through 5th grade are invited to join us for this special worship service just for them in the Chapel of St. Michael.
Keira will be volunteering as the Ministry Coordinator. This new position has been developed by the Awaken Team to support our many ministries at Holy Spirit. As the Ministry Coordinator, Keira will be a point of contact for all ministry leaders, maintain our ministry handbook, and work to connect church members with ministries they wish to serve. She will also be helping plan and coordinate our first annual Awaken to Service Ministry Event at our Homecoming Service on Sunday, September 26th.
Keira Quarles, her husband John, and her daughter Ella have been members of Holy Spirit since 2010. Keira served as the volunteer church administrator from 2012-2014 before welcoming her daughter Faith in 2015. She also brings many years of experience in communication, organization, and management from her work at the University of Florida in the Student Records department.
